As a Queenslander I am concerned about the future of our public health system. I am asking you to restore the funding that Queensland is owed by the Commonwealth according to the National Health Funding Pool.
The amount owed to our Queensland hospital and health services, according to an independent audit by KPMG, is around $1.2 billion. This is money that I believe should be funding strong publicly-owned and operated health services accessible to all Queenslanders, no matter where they live and how much they earn.
Queensland’s health needs are growing. We are all entitled to a well-funded healthcare system that supports us.
I am asking you to ask the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, to deliver to Queensland the funding that it is entitled to under the existing agreements and stop short-charging Queensland patients.
This campaign is vital to our health services in Queensland. Stay tuned for future updates!
