WBHHS- your safety at work

Posted on January 29, 2020

Your safety at work is important and there are processes union members have to raise concerns about workplace safety.

While your employer should be ensuring your workplace is safe, it is always important to speak up when something at work poses a potential risk to you or your colleagues safety.

Has there been something at work that you think might not be safe? This can be anything from workloads to furniture blocking an exit pathway. Do you think that you or your workmates might be at risk?

Your first contact with these concerns is your Health and Safety representative. Click here to find your Health and Safety Representative.

Do you feel your area is lacking in terms of a Health and Safety representative? Would you be interested in finding out more on this role? Please contact the union office if you believe there are inadequate resources for raising safety concerns.

Of course, if you wish, you can also raise your concerns directly with the Union office by calling 1800 177 244.
