Wages Update - March 2021

Posted on March 8, 2021

Over the last few weeks members in TAFE services, Education, and the core voted on revised wages offers from the government. Thank you to the thousands of members who voted!

In Education we had an overwhelming 96% vote in favour of accepting the revised offer with 99% in TAFE Services and 99% in the Core.

As a result, the government are now working on the revised wages schedule to be imported in to each Agreements.

Congratulations to all members for securing a 5% pay-rise for the next financial year and ensured your EB wages will go above the Award rate.

This wages win for you has been hard fought! Thousands of Together members took action to achieve this outcome. You have persisted and ensured that against every barrier you stood together and demanded fairness.

While this has certainly been the most unusual bargaining process we have ever had we are now, finally, at the end! Here's what members can expect;

For Education:

  • A 2.5% increase on current wage rates on 1 September 2021; and
  • A further 2.5% increase on 1 March 2022.

For Core:

  • A 2.5% increase on current wage rates on 1 September 2021
  • A further 2.5% increase on 1 March 2022; and
  • A further 2.5% on 1 September 2022.

For TAFE Services:

  • A 2.5% increase on current wage rates on 1 September 2021
  • A further 2.5% increase on 1 March 2022.

Congratulations! As soon as there are finalised wages schedule we will publish these and notify all members in a further update.

We are also continuing to pursue a pay rise for SO members and will notify members once we have had further movement on this.
