TAFE: Your log of claims for a new agreement

Posted on May 3, 2019

Over the past couple of months members and delegates have been sending through the issues they want to see looked at in this year’s round of collective bargaining for TAFE Queensland. As you probably know, your current agreement expires on 30 June (Educators) and 31 August (Service).

At the end of March your Delegates got together to start collating that information to develop your log of claims. Delegates and organisers have been working on this for the past few weeks to try and make sure we have captured all the important issues to members. Click here to read a copy of the log.

The following delegates have nominated to form your steering committee and may at different stages attend negotiations to represent members on the issues that matter:

Dates for future SBU meetings will be weekly from Friday 10 May, with an agenda being developed over the coming weeks - once that is finalised we will send it to members so you know what is being discussed at each SBU.

Collective bargaining is both an exciting and busy time, so we know how important good communication is during this time, which is why your delegates and I will always endeavour to keep you as up to date as possible and are committed to providing you with a detailed report back after each SBU. However, if at any time you have any questions, or would like an organiser to visit your workplace to speak with you and your colleagues please do not hesitate to contact us at tafe@together.org.au

If you want to get more involved at any time please let us know.
