Results of survey into QPS mandatory vaccinations

Posted on September 13, 2021

Thank you to all our members who participated in our recent survey regarding mandatory vaccinations in QPS.

Our union strongly supports vaccinations as an important public health measure but members in each employer will determine whether we support the employer mandating vaccinations.

The results of the survey told us that over 68% of members who voted support the introduction of mandatory vaccinations and over 91% supported your union negotiating a process to ensure employment security and genuine consultation with anyone unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons.

Based on the survey results and feedback we have received from members your union office and delegates will engaged with QPS leadership on how mandatory vaccinations for staff members in QPS would be rolled out and processes in place to ensure our members are supported as much as possible.

We know some members hold concerns over the introduction of mandatory vaccinations, our role is to make sure all members have access to any advice and or assistance you may need – if you would like to talk about your situation with your union representative then please do not hesitate to contact your union at police@together.org.au.

We will continue to send out further updates and information in relation to mandatory vaccinations as we have it.
