Protective Services: Have your say on your wages and conditions!

The year is almost up but Protective Services never stops.

Reminder: Have your say in your wages and conditions!

We have extended the deadline for submissions for your log of claims for bargaining next year until Wednesday 19 December.

This is your chance to have a say in your working conditions and wages – so don’t miss out!

You can either complete a claim online here or complete a PDF version and email it back to me on cameron.watson@together.org.au

These claims should be for changes that will have a positive impact on your working lives and the working lives of your fellow members. When completing the claim submission, remember to include any supporting evidence or background to the claim. If you have fellow members who support your claim encourage them to submit their own.

Overpayments

As you will be aware Protective Services has claimed incorrect payments have been made by the Service on sick leave. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these overpayments and how they will impact your pay please contact me at cameron.watson@together.org.au

Superannuation Backpay

We are currently awaiting a response from the Service as to the percentage of Super being back paid and will update members as soon as more information is available.

Commonwealth Games Leave

Together Secretary Alex Scott has made multiple representations this year on behalf of members to secure the same concessional days offered to Police Union members in recognition of the Commonwealth Games Leave Embargo. We escalated from the Commissioner to the Minister and now the decision sits with the Premier. We will keep members up to date as this progresses.
