QUT: Paid meetings to discuss Final Proposal – Real Difference

To discuss the outcomes of the QUT decision we will be holding PAID union meetings next week as follows:

Gardens Point: 

Room: GP-V714
Date: Tuesday, 29 November 2016
Time: 1st session: 12 noon- 1 pm 
  2nd session: 1 pm – 2 pm

Kelvin Grove:

Room: KG-F705
Date: Wednesday, 30 November 2016
Time:  1st session: 12 noon-1 pm
  2nd session: 1 pm – 2 pm

The QUT HR Director has authorised in accordance with 9.2 (a) of your QUT Enterprise Agreement 2014 – 2017 for these meetings to be held in PAID TIME so that you do not incur loss in pay.

Clause 9.2 (a) states: Staff members covered by this Agreement may attend paid time meetings conducted by Unions. These meetings may be of up to two (2) hours duration, held one (1) hour either side of the lunch period, up to four (4) a time per year. Such meetings will not disrupt normal work programs and activities.

We can discuss what feedback we can provide on this Proposal at the next Professional Staff Consultative Committee Meeting Monday 5 December, 2016.
