Qantas EBA Survey and Meeting - Email
On 29 and 30 October 2019 ASU Qantas Group delegates from all over Australia met to discuss a number of issues including the commencement of our preparations for our Qantas EBA12 this year.
We have now released the Qantas EBA 12 Together ASU survey to enable staff to express a view about what we should claim in this next bargaining round.
Make your voice heard
In a number of locations union delegates and organisers will be holding meetings to discuss and complete our survey and to plan our EBA campaign.
These meetings are an ideal opportunity to discuss the survey, consider what is important and ensure everyone can participate in determining what is included in the Together ASU Claim.
Even if you cannot make a meeting it is still important to fill out the survey and make your views known.
We already know that there are many issues to put on the table – the wage theft issues that were discovered early this year are top of mind but there are also other classification issues that need to be raised too --- Less staff and more work also means productivity is well and truly up and should be rewarded.
Many people have also raised the need to tighten our clauses around FWAs and clauses generally.
There is certainly a lot to consider in this round of bargaining and your view is important.
Watch out for meetings
Your delegates and organiser Billy Colless will be holding meetings at the Airport Lunchroom in the coming week. These meetings are paid time meetings; speak with your supervisor about attending ( Note the meetings are 30 minutes each)
