Legislation Introduced in to Parliament on Public Sector Pay - What this means for CCOs

Posted on June 17, 2020

Late yesterday, the Queensland government introduced legislative amendments which would effectively freeze the pay of workers who have Agreements in place.

At this stage we don’t believe this will have any impact on our current 12/12 appeal or the arbitration process in Corrections.

This should not impact on you as custodial correctional officers.

As you would know, we oppose any freeze of pay and the override of collective agreements as a principle – this is not a good precedent.

We will keep you posted.
