Flight Centre: Underpayment Case Update

Posted on October 4, 2019

I wanted to send you an update about how the federal court process is going with the systematic underpayments.

Together ASU can confirm the legal team have received a schedule recording payments received by the named employees and they are reviewing it. The parties have submitted that to the court today.

The lawyers are also reviewing some further limited documents Flight Centre have provided by way of discovery relating to the various incentive schemes they have used.

The court has asked the parties to provide agreed dates on when to bring the matter on for a further directions hearing.

Union members in the travel industry are making this action possible.

If you work in the travel industry, and are not yet a member you should consider joining your union. If you work at a travel agent, an airline, or in administration the ASU is your union across Australia.

Don't hesitate to reach out should you need, also - if you know anyone who you believe that this underpayment ask them to complete this form
