EB9 Update and changes to your leave loading?

We’ve put forward our case! Our list of issues to improve our workplaces has been sent to Queensland Health.

Like you, we work in Queensland Health in administrative, operational, technical and professional jobs. As representatives from your delegate negotiating committee we wanted to share with you the final list of issues that Together members like you have come up with and that we have put to Queensland Health this week. In the coming weeks, this log of claims will be used by our negotiation committee in discussions with Queensland Health.

From the initial negotiations with the Department, we know that Queensland Health are considering concerning options including “streamlining” our leave loading for “consistency”. Your delegates will continue to pursue QH about what exactly this means, but potentially QH are asking us to give up a percentage of our leave loading entitlements.

If your colleagues are concerned about what management have planned for our leave loading entitlements - make sure they get active and join your union.

Our next negotiations with QH are scheduled for next week, so stay tuned for updates from us and other Together delegates coming out of those meetings.

As always, the outcome will depend on us and our colleagues joining us as union members to take action to make our workplaces better.
