Candidates Forum this Wednesday 2 July all about Health – come along!

Posted June 30, 2014 by Vivenne Doogan

This Wednesday night, 2 July, we have joined the Queensland Nurses Union and United Voice in hosting a candidates forum in Stafford.

Health and health services are a key issue for this local community and the message sent here will send a message to the government as a whole. The Stafford by-election, which is happening because the former Assistant Health Minister Dr Chris Davis has stepped down, will be held on 19 July. We can send a strong message that restoring Health funding is critical.

All union members and members of the community are invited to attend and hear from local candidates about their views on the state of the Health system and what they would do to improve things for health workers and the community.

When: Wednesday 2 July, 6pm-7:30pm
Where: Stafford Bowls Club, 352 Stafford Road (next to Stafford City Shopping Centre)
RSVP: Contact Denielle Smith via email dsmith@qnu.org.au or phone 3840 1463.

Have a question to submit? Email health@together.org.au to submit your questions to the candidates.
