Virgin needs to provide certainty to staff.

Given that Virgin have notified staff about significant reductions in the flight capacity of the airline – including a suspension of all international flying from 30 March and a 50% drop in domestic capacity until 14 June 2020 – there will be a lot to work through for you.

Government must support airline workers

Today your union, combined with the TWU has written to the Prime Minister to call on the government to meet with your union and workers in the industry and act to save the airlines industry.


Late yesterday, after followup from your union office, the new Directive - Employment Arrangements in the Event of a Health Pandemic – was released by the Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Service Commission Chief Executive.
