Today we received this letter from A/Director General Phillip Brooks about your collective agreement or EB.

As you might remember, members gave in-principle agreement to this EB offer in December 2019, but the employee ballot, due to begin in April, was put on hold following the Premier’s announcement of a wage freeze. The EB has been in a holding pattern since then.

Last week, hundreds of ASU members who work in aviation around Australia met online and unanimously voted to campaign for AviationKeeper – an industry wide Government funding package to support the Australian aviation industry get through the COVID-19 recovery. Can you sign the petition calling on the Government to bring in AviationKeeper now?

On Wednesday the state government voted for legislative amendments to the Industrial Relations Act 2016 to give effect to the Premier’s announcement that there would be a 'wage freeze' in the 2020/2021 financial year.
