Continuing the Fight for a Better Public Service

Posted by Alex Scott on May 29, 2012

Over the last few weeks we have all been engaged in a consistent conversation about how the Queensland public service is being reshaped. Any loss of public sector jobs is an individual tragedy for those workers and their families, a workplace issue and workload agenda for members in that workplace and an issue for the Queensland community if those services being provided are not continued. That's why as union members and members of the community we're having this debate.

This is just a quick note to say thanks to the hundreds of you who supported QSuper employees in their campaign by emailing QSuper.

Communities: Establishment Management Program Update

Posted by Alex Scott on May 17, 2012

It has been just a few weeks since the Establishment Management Program was introduced and in that time this initiative has had a significant and damaging effect on hundreds of members - whether that's because contracts are not being renewed, or through seeing colleagues leave and feeling the workload effects of a vacancy management program, or the cost of uncertainty for so many staff.
