On Wednesday the state government introduced legislative amendments to the Industrial Relations Act 2016 to give effect to the Premier’s announcement that there would be a 'wage freeze' in the 2020/2021 financial year. This will impact all public sector workers.


Late yesterday, the Queensland government introduced legislative amendments which would effectively freeze the pay of workers who have Agreements in place.

We have received the brief on Appeal prospects for the 12/12 Decision. The advice from our Barrister and Senior Counsel is that there are, in their view, five separate grounds for appeal that have reasonable prospects of success.
