Union members secure a better outcome for AS&RS transition

Hopefully, you should have seen the email from A/Director-General Michael Hogan this afternoon, broadly outlining the department’s approach to the transition of AS&RS services. Surprisingly, the department has announced that this transition will happen gradually over five years. While the outsourcing of AS&RS is not something you would like to have seen happen at all, this turn-around in the department’s decision signals that there is now an opportunity for it to be done in a way that will hopefully have the least impact on clients and staff, and allow for greater consultation about your future.
