Make your voice heard this Wednesday

As you might know, the Queensland state budget comes out tomorrow - Tuesday 11 September. We can expect that the government will be spinning the budget as 'good news' and announce funding boosts for some new services - but it won't repair the enormous human cost of their massive cuts to jobs and service delivery.

NPRSR Update - Job Cuts Announcement Today

Posted by Alex Scott on August 31, 2012

As recently as last week the Director-General John Glaister stated in meetings with our Together Delegates that no announcement would be made regarding the Government's intention of cutting from NPRSR until after the budget of September 11 or unless the Minister decided otherwise. It is  obvious through the Director-General's announcement of cuts of 130 FTE's today that the government's poor handling, lack of direction and panicked decision making continues. No matter what rushed and ideological driven decisions the government makes, the fight for employment security for public servants continues.
