We recently attended another meeting in relation to your EBA. In this meeting, we argued that the 1% increase offered was not reasonable and is insulting considering the important operational work that you do.

Your new EBA has been voted up by workers at Red Cross Life Blood in a very close ballot; 51% to 48% (88 voted yes – 82 voted no).

Yesterday morning, we held an all-member meeting for WMHHS staff to discuss the effects of COVID-19 in the workplace and to provide an update from our meeting with management which included information on PPEs, quarantine and the proposal of surveillance testing for staff.

For some time now your Together PTQ union delegates have been strongly advocating against the serious workload management issues existing in many parts of PTQ. Together members in some regional offices have also found they had no option but to refuse extra workload expected by PTQ management to protect themselves from the injury caused by the pressure and stress from excessive workloads.

Quarantine arrangements for AGCC

We had several inquiries from staff about altered quarantine orders that allow staff who have been placed on 14 days quarantine, to return to work at AGCC. Staff members are expected to take the most direct route to work (without stopping), and are expected to go straight home when they finish work.
