Your say on LCCH and the future of HP

Posted October 28, 2014 by James Douglas

This is a pivotal time for the LCCH transition and for HP wages and conditions. Members are facing significant challenges both in relation to your own employment and also seeking to ensure you can provide the best possible care for the children of Queensland.

We know that when members act together, we have a real impact on the working lives of members and the health outcomes of Queenslanders.

There are two opportunities to have your say and make a difference this week.

On Wednesday HPs in CHQ are discussing the HP bargaining offer from Government and whether or not to take industrial action in support of fair pay and conditions. Please invite your HP colleagues to dial in and participate in the discussion. The offer as it stands is a huge step backwards for HPs. See more here.

On Thursday all CHQ members are invited to help to build a better LCCH. With the opening just around the corner there are various industrial, operational and clinical issues still to be ironed out and you are a key part of making the hospital work. Join your fellow members to discuss the existing problems, possible solutions and what you can do next. See the latest transition information here.
