We must act now before it's too late

Breaking news

At the end of a six hour HP and DO negotiation meeting yesterday Queensland Health announced that it considers that negotiations have broken down and that they needed to apply to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission for assistance.

This is ridiculous. Queensland Health has had our log of claims for months. You and I have had their "offer" to consider for less than 2 weeks. We need the chance to discuss the offer with you and then negotiate your position with Queensland Health.

We can take a stand now to not allow QH to think they can make an offer without giving us the chance to discuss this with you.

What you and I must do now

Join with your colleagues and fill in the Protected Action Ballot sheet now.

We need to show how strong we are right now, or else this offer will be the starting point in the QIRC.

You and I have a right to voice our concerns.

Remind your colleagues today why this offer is not good enough

Fill in your form today.

The next few weeks will be critical to your future wages and working conditions for the next 2 years at least. And an even bigger impact on HPs who are yet to be employed.

If you have questions please get in touch at health@together.org.au

Now is the time to act and speak up.

Many HP’s and DO’s have made contact to let us know that you have not yet been able to attend a meeting in your area and would like to be informed. Teleconferences have been set for Monday 3 November at 12.30pm and another at 6pm.

Contact Heather Hayes via heather.hayes@together.org.au by 10 am Monday 3 November to register for the details.
