University members will vote with their feet!

Posted on September 7, 2017

Last week, the Fair Work Commission made the ruling that Murdoch University had the right to tear up their enterprise bargaining agreement with union members and start again. Murdoch argued that the agreement was "unnecessarily complex and out of touch."

These were conditions won by union members through the enterprise bargaining process and now that Murdoch University are permitted to terminate this agreement, it’s just another example of the fact that the rules are broken for union members and workers.

It's up to us now to change the rules.

Across Queensland universities, it is up to us as union members to ensure no other University Vice Chancellor dare attempt to tear away our rights to negotiate fair wages at work by ripping up our agreements.

It is up to us to build union strength in our universities. Forward this email and ask your colleagues to join Together online and make your workplace a better place to work.
