Together Health News

Congratulations to all of the EB9 & HPDO members who turned out to recent report back meetings and teleconferences in their workplaces!

Queensland Health has informed us that the consultation period for the EB9 and HPDO agreements is likely to be in late April. An online ballot of all staff covered by EB9 and HPDO agreements will happen in May.

Together Secretary Alex Scott met with the Director General this morning to discuss your pay. The DG has agreed to ensure that, subject to a successful ballot, you receive your pay rise and back pay before the end of the financial year, even if the agreement is not yet certified by the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.

Mental Health Act

The new Act took effect earlier this month and there is a large amount of information on the Queensland Health website. Click here to go through to the website.

Professor Michael Woods, Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation at the University of Technology Sydney, has been appointed as the Independent Reviewer leading consultations.

The discussion paper was released on Monday 27 February inviting submissions. The paper is available here.

If you have feedback please forward it to health@together.org.au by Thursday 13 April so it can be collated prior to the 1 May 2017 feedback date.
