TAFE: Have your say!

Posted March 9, 2012 by Alex Scott

How have things been going in your workplace? Flat-out? Training? Accrued time working well? Rosters being worked out ok?

Every 3 years we ask these questions across every government agency in order to check-in on what the key issues are to negotiate our collective agreement that governs your wages and conditions for the next 3 years.

Your current collective agreement or 'EB' expires on the 31st of July this year. For staff in Police there are also particular issues about the impact of the VSP program and other key issues that we need to address.

Here are some of the things that many members across every area of government have been talking about as the key issues for these negotiations:

You can have your say on these ideas and add some more by filling in this survey:
http://www.together.org.au/together-bargaining/together-bargaining-survey-2012/

Have a look at the summaries before doing the survey as it will give you a better idea of what the questions mean.

We know there will also be many issues that are more specific to your occupation, the Police Service or work area that you might want to raise - add those to the general comments section.

We'll be sending more emails about the upcoming bargaining process over the following weeks - please fill in your surveys before Wednesday the 21st of March.

Happy International Womens Day!

PS: Remember if you know a colleague who isn't yet a union member and they want to have their say - they can join you as a union member here: www.together.org.au/join. Only members get to have a say!
