Schools: You need to speak up

Posted August 13, 2011 by Alex Scott

Following last week's email regarding concerns over the rollout of the OneSchool Finance module we have received hundreds of responses from members. These responses highlighted serious issues with the program including ongoing technical issues, delays in support, stress and excessive workload.

Delegates have looked over the issues raised and believe they are of such seriousness that the question needs to be asked as to whether further rollout of the package should occur until these issues are investigated and resolved.

That's why we need you to step up now and let us know how OneSchool is affecting  you and your school.

Make sure that your voice is heard by filling out the short survey here.

On Friday we met with senior Departmental Officers and a representative of the Minister's Office. At that meeting your union delegates tabled dozens of responses from members who were prepared to have their responses tabled at the meeting. The delegates at the meeting echoed the concerns raised by those emails with both their own experiences and those of other members they were aware of.

But we need to show them the full scale of the problem. You need to help your delegates drive the point home.

Fill out the survey here.

The scale of the problems is absolutely massive. By working together we can help make sure that the Department takes appropriate action that benefit schools.

Please make your voice heard.
