RCH Update

Posted December 10, 2012 by Together Queensland

Dear Members,

On 3 December 2012 the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service Board announced their decision to restructure Royal Children’s Hospital removing 99 positions.  These include abolishment of positions and resulting cuts to services which will affect children and their families.

Together strongly opposes the reduction of health services to this community and the loss of jobs for hundreds of hardworking, committed staff who in their administrative, operational or clinical and allied health roles, strive every day to make sick people well and to ensure they get the best treatment care and services possible.

We encourage all members to have your say.  To find out more information and to have your say please follow this link to a closed section of our website:http://www.together.org.au/health/rch/.

There is a username and password on this site and an email should have go to all affected members tonight (Monday 10 December) with those details. If you do not receive the email and believe that you are a member involved in this restructure, please email health@together.org.au so that we can update our database and send you login details.

Yours in union,

Together Public Health Team
