Health Rally bus timetable

After months of negotiation Queensland Health is refusing to budge on their low wages offer. They are still expecting workers across the state to accept a wage increase that is below the rising cost of living, in effect a real wage cut. It's time that we stand up and show politicians how important our work is to the community.

That is why workers will be rallying outside Parliament on Thursday to call on the Premier to intervene in negotiations for a fairer deal.

Already over a thousand workers have committed to attending the rally on Thursday. This is a stop-work Rally and the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission has been notified of the industrial action.  Queensland Health may take action against its workforce by not paying workers for the time they are away from work asking for the respect they deserve.

Parliament House - 12pm Thursday 13 October

By standing together health workers can send a clear message that building a better health system is about investing in the people that are working hard for a healthy Queensland. Join with other health workers on Thursday to pressure our politicians to intervene to guarantee a fair deal for health workers and their patients.

I look forward to seeing you there on Thursday.
