On Sunday the agreement that governs our wages and working conditions expired.
We had hoped that we would be considering a new offer by now or at least have discussed all of the important issues in negotiations.
On Wednesday, we will be providing QH with all of the information they have asked for and demanding that QH makes an offer sooner or later. We want to make sure that we all have time to consider the offer and make a good decision.
In saying that it’s likely that we won’t have an offer in time. Delegates are recommending that to make QH do something about the big issues like workloads and job security, we should start lodging protected action ballots (PABs) for our workplaces.
PABs give us the option to take industrial action further down the track. It’s pretty simple! All you need to do is have a meeting with the members in your workplace, pass a motion and fill out a form with a staff list. PABs take a long time to process so it’s important that we get these going soon. Here’s all of the information.
