Health members in SEQ: Employment Security Matters!

Posted August 30, 2012 by Alex Scott

Two weeks ago  the Courier Mail reported 4000 jobs being at risk in Queensland Health in areas such as preventative health. Last week the government introduced legislation into Parliament with the intent of removing all employment security protections in Queensland Health and across government and this legislation came into affect on Wednesday 29 August.

It's time to send the message to the government that employment security for public sector workers is not something they can dismiss at the stroke of a pen.  We won't stand by and let them break their promises and put at risk health services in this state.  That's why we are conducting employment security meetings across the state. Please see below a schedule of meetings for the south east area.  Regional meetings are being planned and are occurring also.
