CCSQ Workload Review

Posted December 22, 2011 by Alex Scott

Members working in Community Capacity and Service Quality have been raising workload concerns for many years. As a result, a long term joint union-management Enterprise Bargaining Project has been carried out in recent years to work on resolving these issues.

Recently a decision was made by both Together and the Department to wrap up that project. This agreement has been made in recognition of the fact that the last round of Machinery of Government changes significantly altered the environment for CCSQ workers, and as such, some previous recommendations of the project were no longer able to be implemented.

The joint union-management reference group have endorsed an End Report which pulls together the valuable work completed by this project over the last three years. This report should be distributed through CCSQ work units soon.

Together representatives look forward to having the opportunity to continue to raise critical issues for this group of workers through the Contract Management Project Reference Group.

Our union recognises the hard work of all delegates who have been involved in this process over the years, especially recent participants from across Queensland including: Wayne Daly, Janelle Salmon, John Patullo and Ingrid Reichelt. Thanks to these delegates for their efforts on behalf of CCSQ members.

If you would like a copy of the CCSQ workload review's end report, please contact one of the delegates above or email the union office at communities@together.org.au
