On Thursday 29 November we'll be rallying outside Parliament House to send the message to the politicians – you must intervene now to give your health staff a fair and reasonable offer.
If you're outside of Brisbane, check the list of events here and come to your local rally.

If you live outside of Brisbane, check out our other key events happening across the state.
It’s time to tell the Health Minister and the government that you are essential to our health system and your wages and conditions are just as important as nurses, doctors, teachers and police.
Yesterday I went with your delegates to a meeting with Queensland Health negotiators.
This was supposed to be a meeting to put real options on the table for a new agreement for your wages and conditions for the next three years. QH had nothing new to say.

Late yesterday I received a formal "offer" to form a certified agreement to govern your wages and conditions for the next 3 years.

On Friday, Michael Walsh, the Director-General of Queensland Health, emailed us about how working for Queensland Health is a great thing to do. We know that we're all committed to our work and do a great job for Queenslanders.
Email the DG to tell him just talking about values won't fix anything if he isn't bargaining in good faith with union members.

Recently we asked members to let us know if you are receiving a "red-circle" payment as members had contacted us with concerns that they had been underpaid.
This matter has been brought to the attention of regional offices by Together members and HR have noted that there is an issue of underpayment.

Yesterday in negotiations Queensland Health showed their true colours by outright rejecting some of our important claims.
QH rejected extra pay points for HP5 and HP6 and rejected a progression from HP3 to HP4. QH has said NO to ensure that our pay levels and opportunities for career progression were fairer and reflective of the work we do.

We’ve heard nothing but crickets from management this week which indicates to us they still aren’t moving on their position.
The exciting news is that we have had our first Protected Action Ballot back and it was successful! Congratulations to all of the members who have been getting together and voting to take action.

Our campaign is working!
On Friday afternoon, the Finance and Admin Committee of MPs released its report for the Industrial Relations Bill. In that report, the government members of the committee recommended that the Public Service Act be amended to allow the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission to deal with matters of ongoing temporary work.
