As Term 1 draws to a close I am sure you are all looking forward to a well deserved break over Easter.

As a union we have a critical few months ahead as we try and secure a new EB agreement that will set out your wages and conditions for the next 3 years as well as working on systemic issues of resourcing and funding for public servants in state schools.

Queenslanders are owed over a billion dollars.

Wages Poll – Closes Thursday 29 March

After reviewing the results from the wages survey, Together delegates have put forward a plan for our 2018 wages campaign.

This includes asking for an increase of $50/week each year for three years OR at least 3.5%, whichever is greater.

An update on your EBA's progress at Armaguard

Your union office recently received an email addressed to Armaguard from the Fair Work Commission relating to the Armaguard Queensland Country Branches Clerical and Cash Processing Employees Enterprise Agreement 2017.

Health Minister Steven Miles and Director General Michael Walsh have provided an important briefing to unions in relation to the crisis of a missing $979 million in the Queensland Health budget.

That is an enormous number and it is very hard to reconcile with existing services.
