Queensland Health workers are standing up for the future of Bundaberg health services

Local Bundaberg Queensland Health workers who do a vast range of jobs such as maintaining patients’ medical files and answering phones at local health facilities are standing up to defend the health system that Bundaberg residents are proud of and rely on.

“The key to a strong Bundaberg health system is an ability to train, support and retain these great workers who are in truth the backbone of the local region’s health system,” Together Secretary Alex Scott said today.

“Our members are standing strong together today and saying enough is enough, Queensland Health simply must invest in Bundaberg staff to protect the core of our local health system.

“We’re inviting Bundaberg residents to stand with us in the best interests of the future of the Bundaberg region’s health services.

“There’s a grassroots opportunity right here in Bundaberg for our community to join in the call for Queensland Health to recognise all staff and to demand that health management recommit to a strong health system,” Mr Scott said.
