Call for feedback from Together Union members - Re: Restructure and Redundancy across Gold Coast

Many of you will be aware that last week management announced further job losses and restructuring as a result of the Newman governments cuts to the Gold Coast HHS budget. Our Union opposes the cuts to jobs and health services on the Gold Coast. At the same time, while it is the intention of management to cut jobs, we've have been advocating that any job cuts be a purely voluntary process as the best option for our members. The HHS have stated that the majority of these cuts are based on expressions of interest from employees for a redundancy.

We still have concerns that these cuts may have a negative impact on those staff who are left behind to continue the work, as well as impact on patient care and we also call for your feedback on the proposed changes by Monday morning 29 July 2013. All feedback is confidential, and will be de-identified and collated prior to being submitted as one Together Union Member feedback submission. You can provide feedback on the form below or by email to health@together.org.au.

To help guide your feedback, we have attached the consultation documents (an implementation plan, list of abolished positions, and pre and post org charts).
